On April 16, 2023, at approximately 10:40 p.m., deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting in the 3300 block of King Charles Road in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Timothy James Shannon suffering from a gunshot wound. Shannon was promptly transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
