Jason Walker, a 37-year-old African American man, was shot and killed on January 8, 2022, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The incident occurred when Walker was attempting to cross the street near his home on Bingham Drive. According to reports, Walker jumped onto the hood of a red pickup truck driven by off-duty Cumberland County Sheriff's Deputy Jeffrey Hash. Hash claimed that Walker damaged the windshield and posed a threat, leading him to shoot Walker multiple times.
