Omar Baker, a 40-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on February 7, 2022, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred near the intersection of Charles Thigpen Drive and Doc Bennett Road. The circumstances surrounding his death led to an extensive investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
