On August 20, 2024, 34-year-old Anthony Alexander Douglas was fatally shot in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Early Street, where officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:52 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Douglas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Douglas's death has deeply affected his family and the local community.
He is survived by his children—Javony, Jayce, Lotus, Izabella Breazile, and Emairy Jacques—as well as his mother, Lynette Douglas of Spring Lake. His siblings include sisters Ashley Douglas of Spring Lake, Robin Roper of Virginia, and Jocelyn Adams of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and brothers Tevin Roper of Fayetteville and Dominique Harrington of Washington, D.C. His grandmother, Linda D. Harrington of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, also mourns his passing. Funeral services were held on September 7, 2024, at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations Chapel.
