In the early evening hours of May 9, 2020, events unfolded in Little Rock, Arkansas, that tragically cut short the life of 39-year-old Chesrick Martin, a Black male. Police were initially dispatched to the 3200 block of Ludwig Street around 7 p.m. following a report of a stolen vehicle. While officers were en route, the situation escalated dramatically as gunshots rang out in the vicinity.
Upon their arrival at the scene, they discovered Mr. Martin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
