On January 5, 2018, at approximately 2:30 p.m., law enforcement officers from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office and the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting near the intersection of East Broad Street and Sugar Hill Road in Texarkana, Arkansas. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 71-year-old Marvell McFadden, who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the upper chest.
