In Texarkana, Arkansas, on a Friday afternoon in early January 2018, the quiet of the border city was disturbed by an act of violence that would lead to the death of a 71-year-old male resident. Marvell McFadden was found deceased inside a residence near the intersection of East Broad Street and Sugar Hill Road, an area that straddles the city and Miller County line. Authorities were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. McFadden had suffered an apparent gunshot wound to his upper chest.
