In the early afternoon of a summer day in Texarkana, Arkansas, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet, leading to the tragic death of 37-year-old Robert DeWayne Miller. On June 20, 2022, Miller was the victim of a drive-by shooting that caused his vehicle to crash into a home on Martin Luther King Boulevard. Emergency services rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal. A female passenger in the vehicle was also hospitalized with injuries sustained in the crash.
