On July 2, 2015, concern began to mount for Michael Scott Roberts, a 40-year-old white male, when he failed to answer his phone. Family members, unable to reach him, went to his home on Garland Street in Texarkana, Arkansas, to check on him. What they discovered was a scene of violence; Roberts, a well-known local pilot who flew charter flights, was found deceased inside his residence, having been shot multiple times.
