On December 25, 2022, at approximately 9:50 a.m., the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots at the Brook Hollow Apartments, located at 2511 East 24th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 40-year-old Aaron Bruce of Texarkana, Arkansas, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Bruce was pronounced deceased at the scene.
