On the evening of September 25, 2015, 22-year-old Jesse James Hamilton was fatally shot at the Raceway gas station on State Line Avenue in Texarkana, Arkansas. The incident began around 10:30 p.m. when Marvin Arrell Stanton, accompanied by fellow motorcyclists, arrived at the station and confronted Hamilton over a parking spot near the gas pumps—a location the bikers customarily used.
