On a tragic evening in Little Rock, Arkansas, the life of 58-year-old Bennie Cato came to a sudden and violent end. On January 29, 2019, police responded to a distress call from the Cato residence on Dorset Drive. The call was made by Bennie's daughter, who reported that her brother had just shot their parents.
Upon entering the home, law enforcement officers discovered the bodies of Bennie Cato and his 57-year-old wife, Ava Cato. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
As they continued to clear the house, they found their 35-year-old son, Harrison Cato, on the back porch with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he died a short time later.

Authorities concluded that Harrison Cato was the sole suspect in the killings of his parents, classifying the incident as a double murder-suicide.
