In the early morning hours of July 29, 2019, the quiet intersection of 14th Avenue and Blake Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, became the scene of a tragedy. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 5:10 a.m., police officers arrived to find a vehicle stopped in the roadway. Inside, they discovered the body of 26-year-old Deandre Brown, a Black male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
