On the night of June 15, 2020, 21-year-old African American male Daishun Allen was fatally shot in Little Rock, Arkansas. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. at an apartment complex located at 1600 John Barrow Road. Upon arrival, police discovered another victim, 26-year-old Timothy Clemmons, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was transported to UAMS Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, Daishun Allen was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigations revealed that Daishun Allen had previously survived a shooting on June 2, 2020, which had claimed another man's life. Despite the ongoing investigations, no charges were filed immediately following Allen's death.
Subsequent inquiries led to the arrest of Freddrick Sanjuan Jackson, a 15-year-old African American male at the time of the crime. Jackson was identified as the shooter responsible for the deaths of four individuals in Little Rock between June 2020 and April 2022, including Daishun Allen. He was apprehended on April 12, 2022, and later pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and four counts of possession of a firearm by a certain person. In January 2024, Jackson, then 19, was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
