On August 12, 2023, at approximately 8:12 p.m., New York State Police and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of shots fired on Big Brook Road in Indian Lake, New York. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old David J. Chenier deceased at the scene.
