Isaac McCoy, a 39-year-old Black man from Little Rock, Arkansas, was shot to death on the morning of August 27, 2019, on the 8000 block of West 35th Street in the southwest part of the city. Local reports describe how what began as an ordinary Tuesday turned suddenly into a crime scene when emergency dispatchers received a medical “code blue” call just before 10 a.m. Responding officers and medics found McCoy with an apparent gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
