On a December evening in Little Rock, Arkansas, a young man named Kristopher Harris, who was either 20 or 21 years old, stepped out of his mother's apartment while talking on the phone. Moments later, the sound of multiple gunshots shattered the night. His mother, Chercora Harris, ran outside to find her son suffering from numerous gunshot wounds.
