On a December evening in Little Rock, Arkansas, a young man named Kristopher Harris, who was either 20 or 21 years old, stepped out of his mother's apartment while talking on the phone. Moments later, the sound of multiple gunshots shattered the night. His mother, Chercora Harris, ran outside to find her son suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. Within minutes, Kristopher succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene on December 18, 2015.
The shooting occurred at the
Stone Ridge Apartments on Geyer Springs Road. Investigators learned from witnesses that four men were seen fleeing the area in a white truck shortly after the gunshots were heard. Despite the witness accounts, the identities of the men in the truck remain unknown. The motive for the shooting has also not been publicly determined by law enforcement officials.
In the year that followed the tragic event, Chercora Harris pleaded with the community for any information that could lead to the capture of her son's killers. She described the immense pain of losing her only son and the difficulty of explaining his absence to his young daughter. Despite her public appeals for justice, no arrests have been made in the case, and the suspects involved in the death of Kristopher Harris remain at large. The investigation into his murder is still considered open.
