On a Sunday evening, February 28, 2021, the life of 23-year-old Xavier Crosby was tragically cut short in the parking lot of a Kroger grocery store on West Markham Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Crosby, a Black male from the nearby city of Conway, was found with a gunshot wound and rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Before he passed, he was able to tell officers that he had arranged to meet someone in the parking lot to sell marijuana.
