In the late hours of August 9, 2021, a simmering feud reached its tragic conclusion at a Sit-Go gas station in Jonesboro, Arkansas, leaving 18-year-old Roderick Jamel Hale Jr. dead from a gunshot wound. Hale, a young man from Osceola, had pulled into the gas station just as the clock was striking midnight. As he was returning to his car after his card was declined inside the store, he had a chance encounter with another individual.
