In the spring of 2026, the life of 21-year-old Zadarius Olando Merritt was tragically cut short in Jonesboro, Arkansas. On the evening of Wednesday, May 6th, a dispute inside a residence in the 4400 block of Southbrook Drive escalated to a fatal conclusion. During the altercation, a firearm was drawn, and Merritt was shot. Emergency services were called to the scene, and he was swiftly transported to St. Bernards Medical Center for treatment.
