In the small town of Gentry, Arkansas, a story of fortune and tragedy unfolded at the La Huerta restaurant. Fidel Mercado Reyes, a 45-year-old man, was working in the kitchen on the morning of November 10, 2021, when his life was abruptly cut short. A new employee, who had only started working at the restaurant the day before, fatally shot Reyes in the back of the head.
