On a Tuesday evening, November 16, 2021, the life of 17-year-old Qortavious Reed, a Black male, was tragically cut short in North Little Rock, Arkansas. At approximately 5:13 p.m., officers from the North Little Rock Police Department were dispatched to the Shorter Gardens Apartments at 800 N. Beech following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Reed outside one of the apartment buildings, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
