James Allen Orgeron, a 44-year-old man from Lafayette, Louisiana, was tragically killed on February 14, 2015. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant located at 4555 Johnston Street. According to reports, Orgeron was sitting in the parking lot when Jerry Ronald Seals, a 52-year-old man from Lafayette, drove up in a vehicle. The two men began arguing, which escalated quickly.
