Death by Force

Joseph Bargeman Jr., a 24-year-old Black man from Lafayette, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on April 3, 2025. Bargeman was fatally shot late that night in the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in progress at approximately 11:25 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Bargeman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
