In a Lafayette, Louisiana apartment on April 12, 2024, a welfare check prompted by a missing person report led to the grim discovery of a triple homicide. Inside the residence on South College Road, authorities found the bodies of 49-year-old Dr. Eric Green, a male professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, along with 45-year-old Brandon Touchet and 46-year-old Elizabeth Reames. All three victims had been fatally shot.
