On May 18, 2023, 18-year-old Benjamin Redix, a student at White Hall High School, was fatally shot in North Little Rock, Arkansas, just hours before he was set to graduate. The incident occurred in the 5800 block of Lynch Drive, where North Little Rock police responded to a call about a person who had been shot. Upon arrival, they found Redix lying in the roadway with at least one gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene.
