In the early evening of April 14, 2022, the life of 21-year-old Tre'vion Nelson was cut short in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Around 7:00 p.m., police responded to a call on South Virginia Street where they discovered a grim scene. Just inside the doorway of a residence, they found Nelson, who had been shot.
Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene, marking the city's 10th homicide of the year.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, Pine Bluff police began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Nelson's death.
Despite the ongoing investigation, law enforcement officials did not immediately identify any suspects in connection with the fatal shooting. They urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the authorities to assist in their efforts to piece together the events that led to the young man's death. As of the initial reports, no arrests had been made, and the case remained under active investigation.
