On December 5, 2000, 35-year-old Todd Schumacher was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds outside his residence near 29th and Q Streets in Omaha, Nebraska. The initial investigation revealed that his home had been burglarized, but authorities were unable to identify a suspect at the time, and the case eventually went cold.
