Waw Gach, an 18-year-old former athlete from Denison-Schleswig High School, was shot and killed on April 7, 2020, during a large gathering at Benson Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Despite local restrictions on gatherings due to the pandemic, the event attracted about 100 people. Around 9:30 p.m., gunfire erupted, injuring three individuals.
