Death by Force

In the early morning hours of May 18, 2024, Kyaw Thu, a 35-year-old man, had just returned to his home near 45th and Charles Streets in Omaha, Nebraska, after finishing his shift at a local plant. As he was in his kitchen preparing dishes, he was fatally shot. Omaha Police officers were dispatched to the scene around 2 a.m. and found him suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
