On the night of Friday, February 21, 2014, a gathering of teenage friends and relatives in the basement of a home near 54th and Spaulding streets in Omaha, Nebraska, turned tragic. Dominique Dewayne Hollie, a 17-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot in the midst of this assembly.
