On February 5, 2024, Lemetrius DeShawn Hollins, a 28-year-old resident of Madison County, Mississippi, was found deceased in a home located at 101 Haley Creek Drive, east of Madison off Old Rice Road. The Madison County Sheriff's Office discovered Hollins with a fatal gunshot wound after receiving a request for a welfare check from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
