In the spring of 2017, the life of 19-year-old Qwaishuan Henning, a Black / African American male, was cut short by gun violence in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On the evening of May 17, Henning was shot in the 3300 block of North 38th Street. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day, becoming another young victim in a city grappling with homicides.
