Maxwell Michael Nelson Charles Griffy, an 18-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on the night of July 4, 2009, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was discovered by police outside the El Dorado Club near 24th and P Streets around 11 p.m. Despite being transported to Creighton University Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
