In the summer of 2014, a life was tragically cut short in Omaha, Nebraska. Joseph Merolla, a 19-year-old Caucasian male, died on July 27 from a gunshot wound to the head. The incident unfolded at a gathering in an apartment, where a group of friends, including Merolla, had come together. The atmosphere of the get-together took a dark turn with the introduction of a handgun.
