In the early morning hours of October 18, 2014, a gathering of friends in a South Omaha, Nebraska home was shattered by sudden violence. Jose Fabila, a 23-year-old Hispanic male, was inside a residence near 24th and Q streets with friends when shots were fired into the house. One of the bullets struck Fabila, fatally wounding him.
