Gunfire erupted in two nearby areas — first near 22nd and Lake Streets, then again near 24th and Cuming — sending confusion and panic through those still outside.
Police arrived within minutes, finding three people wounded. Williams was rushed to UNMC, where doctors fought to save him, but the injuries were too severe.
