In the late summer of 2009, the life of Todd Edward Prater, a 40-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short in Omaha, Nebraska. On August 19, Prater was shot and killed, leaving a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. The specific details surrounding the shooting have remained elusive, casting a long shadow over the case.
