Laura S. Pierce, a 42-year-old resident of Omaha, Nebraska, was tragically killed on January 2, 2009. Born on May 12, 1966, to Jerry and Elaine Pierce, she graduated from South High School in 1984 and earned a Business Administration degree from Peru State College in 1988. After working in California, she returned to Omaha in 1990, holding managerial positions at Dollar General and later at Kwik Shop. She was a member of Thanksgiving Lutheran Church in Bellevue.
