On October 29, 2016, at approximately 4:30 a.m., 35-year-old Suzanne Pope was fatally shot in her Omaha, Nebraska, home near 39th Street and Kansas Avenue. Her fiancé, Curtis Goodwin, was also shot during the incident but survived his injuries.

The assailant, identified as 31-year-old Tyeric Lessley, forced his way into the residence, immediately approached Pope, and shot her. Goodwin attempted to intervene and was shot in the stomach during the struggle. He managed to strike Lessley ...Read More
