On September 12, 2011, 28-year-old Jameila Hesseltine was found deceased in her Omaha, Nebraska apartment, located near 20th Street and Ames Avenue. She had been shot and killed, and her two young sons discovered her body. Jameila was a mother to two sons, Jabaris and Jaemyn Hesseltine, and was survived by her father, Racine Porter; sister, Buffy Bush; brothers, Racine Porter Jr. and Ernest Kain; and other family members.
