In the autumn of 1973, a tragic event unfolded in Tucson, Arizona, forever altering the lives of a young couple. On November 3, 1973, Patricia Sandberg and her husband, Marine Captain Michael Sandberg, age 28, were found murdered in their condominium. The discovery of their bodies was prompted by authorities in California who had arrested two men, Douglas Edward Gretzler and Willie Luther Steelman, driving Michael Sandberg's car.
