In the winter of 2015, a quiet Tucson, Arizona community was shaken by a devastating event that claimed the lives of two young children. On the evening of December 23rd, 5-year-old Haylee Parker and her 8-year-old sister Mackenzie Parker were tragically killed inside their home. The girls' mother had contacted authorities, expressing fear after receiving a threatening phone call from her estranged husband, who was with the children.
Her call prompted an immediate welfare check at the residence.
When Pima County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the house, they initially made contact with the father, 37-year-old Levi Parker, from outside the front door. The situation took a horrifying turn when a gunshot suddenly rang out from within the home. Officers immediately forced their way inside to confront a heart-wrenching scene. They discovered both young girls and their father, all suffering from critical gunshot wounds.
