In the spring of 2023, a tragedy unfolded in Tucson, Arizona, ending the life of Brittany Shuree Sutherland Collier. A 37-year-old Black/African American woman, Collier became a victim of gun violence on April 21st. The incident prompted an investigation by the Tucson Police Department, which subsequently began to probe the case as a murder-suicide.
