On the morning of October 28, 2002, at the University of Arizona’s College of Nursing in Tucson, assistant professor Robin Elaine Burns Rogers, a 50-year-old white female, was in her second-floor office when third-semester nursing student Robert Stewart Flores Jr. entered and shot her multiple times at close range, killing her almost immediately.
