In the summer of 2023, the life of 35-year-old Sonia Zaragoza was tragically cut short in a hotel room in Tucson, Arizona. On June 8th, employees at the Minsk Hotel made a grim discovery when they found Zaragoza and a 54-year-old man, Xavier Morales, unresponsive inside one of the rooms. The hotel staff had been alerted to a situation that led them to check on the occupants, only to find them both unconscious and not breathing.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene.
Upon their arrival, both Sonia Zaragoza and Xavier Morales were pronounced dead. Investigators from the Tucson Police Department noted that both individuals had sustained trauma, leading them to treat the deaths as a homicide.
