In December of 2019, in Tucson, Arizona, a welfare check would lead to the discovery of a tragic event that cut short the life of 27-year-old Nickole Michelle Armas. The events unfolded after Armas’s sister became concerned and requested that law enforcement check on her. Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department responded to the Catalina Foothills apartment but were initially unable to make contact with anyone inside.
