On January 20, 2022, 36-year-old Alejandra Valles Valenzuela was fatally shot in the 1100 block of East Irvington Road in Tucson, Arizona. Police responded to reports of a shooting at the location, where they found Alejandra Valles Valenzuela pronounced dead at the scene.

During the incident, a man identified as Alejandra's boyfriend was also injured and transported to a hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.
