In the early morning hours of February 5, 2005, a promising young life was tragically cut short in Tucson, Arizona. Nicholas Lee Arnold, a 20-year-old Black/African American man, was fatally wounded in a senseless act of gun violence. Arnold, a talented football player for Western New Mexico University, was in Tucson for the weekend visiting friends, a brief respite from his studies and athletic commitments that ended in tragedy.
