In the summer of 1982, a 22-year-old woman named Virginia Alice Welch, also known as Jenny, vanished from Roanoke, Virginia. Having recently relocated to the southeast area of the city, she was last seen on July 12, 1982. Shortly before she went missing, Welch had been living with a male roommate. Virginia was a distinctive individual, with brown curly hair and blue eyes.
