On a grim Sunday, the 15th of December, 2024, the body of 32-year-old Donte’y Christian Parrish of Hampton, Virginia, was discovered in the waters of the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail in Chesapeake. The discovery was made in the 1200 block of George Washington Highway, prompting a response from the Chesapeake Police Department at approximately 12:45 p.m.
